Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal Reviews Progress on Medicine Barcoding, Mobile App, and Backup Data System

A high-level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, to assess the progress on key digital health initiatives including medicine barcoding, a mobile health app, and a national backup data system.

The CEO of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) presented updates on ongoing efforts. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of Health, Director General of the Ministry of Health, and other senior officials.

During the session, emphasis was placed on enhancing transparency and efficiency in the implementation of these systems. The goal is to ensure the safe and quality-assured supply of medicines to the public, in line with the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
