Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has issued a strong statement on the occasion of Kashmir Siege Day (Youm-e-Istehsal), observed every year on August 5 to mark India’s illegal and oppressive actions in occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
In his message, the minister said:
“August 5, 2019, reminds the world of India’s grave injustice against Kashmiris. The revocation of Article 370 was a blatant violation of UN resolutions and an attack on basic human rights.”
Mustafa Kamal highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir, emphasizing that Kashmiri people are deprived of healthcare facilities, medicines, and hospital access due to continuous restrictions and curfews. He termed the shortage of medicines and hospital blockades a human tragedy, urging the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities.
The federal minister reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir, stating:
“Every pain of Kashmir is our pain. Their sacrifices will not go in vain. Pakistan will continue to stand by Kashmir until their freedom struggle succeeds. Kashmir banay ga Pakistan.”
