MQM Pakistan to Launch Independence Day Activities from August 1 Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui
Karachi (DigitalMQM News): MQM Pakistan has officially announced the commencement of nationwide Independence Day celebrations starting from August 1. Addressing a press conference at the MQM Bahadurabad headquarters, Party Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stated that the entire organizational structure of MQM Pakistan, along with people from all walks of life, will actively participate in the month-long celebration of Pakistan’s independence.
He emphasized that this year holds special national importance and that Independence Day is not just a day of festivity, but a reflection of a great struggle for truth and unity. He remarked that the real engine of Pakistan’s growth lies in Karachi and the urban centers of Sindh, where the ancestors of today’s citizens led the charge for the creation of Pakistan and stood as a force that unified the Muslim Ummah.
Dr. Siddiqui announced that MQM Pakistan will begin the celebration with a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid on August 1. The grand night of Independence — Shab-e-Azadi — will be marked with a major public event on the night of August 13 at Five Star Chowrangi in North Nazimabad, Karachi.
Senior leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar and Mr. Anis Ahmed Kaimkhani were also present at the press conference and reiterated the party’s commitment to the spirit of unity, democracy, and national service. They emphasized that MQM Pakistan has always played a frontline role in national development and will continue to engage communities across Pakistan in meaningful celebration of the country’s founding principles.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool called on the public to participate actively in all scheduled programs and to use the Independence Month to renew their commitment to Pakistan. The party plans to hold a series of public events, cultural programs, flag hoisting ceremonies, patriotic song contests, and community engagements across various districts.
The press conference concluded with a message of unity, responsibility, and reflection. MQM Pakistan aims to make the Independence Month not just a celebration, but a movement for national solidarity and civic revival.
