Mustafa Kamal and Hamza Tabani Discuss Digital Healthcare Innovation and Free Medical OutreachIn a step forward for public-private collaboration in healthcare, Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal held an important meeting with Hamza Tabani, Chairman of Tabani Group, in Islamabad.
Tabani Group is recognized as Pakistan’s first company to pioneer online healthcare services, and during the meeting, Hamza Tabani shared valuable insights into their efforts to expand access to quality care.
“We have conducted over 5,000 free medical camps across Pakistan, reaching thousands of underserved citizens with essential healthcare services,” said Hamza Tabani.
The Minister commended Tabani Group’s contributions, emphasizing that Pakistan’s current healthcare system is under immense pressure and faces critical challenges, including the lack of centralized medical data.
“Patients' health records are rarely preserved in a structured way, making it difficult for doctors to provide continuous, quality treatment,” said Mustafa Kamal.
He further explained the government’s vision for a nationwide digital health ecosystem, stating:
A modern digital health system is being introduced.
Using a patient’s CNIC number, their complete medical history will appear on-screen instantly.
The system will be powered by a collaborative partnership with NADRA, ensuring data security, accessibility, and integration.
“This will revolutionize the patient experience in Pakistan by enabling continuity of care and efficient diagnosis, especially for the most vulnerable communities,” added the Minister.
The discussion highlighted a shared commitment between the public and private sectors to not only modernize healthcare infrastructure but also reach remote and marginalized populations through free camps and digital solutions.
The meeting reflects a growing momentum toward innovative healthcare reform, ensuring universal access, data-driven decision-making, and tech-enabled patient care across Pakistan.
