Syed Mustafa Kamal Commends Aga Khan University Hospital’s Contribution to Pakistan’s Health Sector

Karachi – July 2025:
Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, paid an important visit to Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) in Karachi, where he met with the President of the University, Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin, and key hospital leadership.

During the visit, the Minister deeply appreciated the remarkable role of Aga Khan University Hospital in delivering world-class healthcare services in Pakistan. He acknowledged the hospital’s contribution in areas of medical education, research, patient care, and innovation.

"Aga Khan University Hospital sets a benchmark in healthcare standards. Its commitment to service, research, and patient safety is commendable. The Government looks forward to strengthening partnerships for a healthier Pakistan," said Syed Mustafa Kamal.

The meeting reflected the Ministry’s continued engagement with key stakeholders to reform and uplift Pakistan’s health system. The Minister also discussed ongoing efforts to implement digital health, patient tracking through MR numbers, and improving access to affordable cancer care, telemedicine, and anti-counterfeit drug systems.
